Hongqiao Airport

In July 2006, Shanghai Shenhong Investment and Development Co., Ltd. was officially established. The company is fully responsible for the development and construction of the Hongqiao Integrated Transportation Hub (excluding the airport interior). The internal planning and implementation of Hongqiao Airport is the responsibility of the Airport Group. The construction of the Hongqiao Integrated Transportation Hub follows the overall construction goal of "commencing the main project by the end of 2006, completing the project by the end of 2009, and putting it into use before the 2010 World Expo." The Hongqiao Integrated Transportation Hub will be a world-class, modern, large-scale integrated transportation hub, closely connecting high-speed rail, intercity and urban rail transit, buses, taxis, and the airport.
