Pudong International Airport

Shanghai Pudong International Airport, located in the coastal area of Pudong New District, Shanghai, China, covers an area of 40 square kilometers. It was completed in 1999, and its expansion project was put into use before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Pudong Airport is one of Shanghai's two major international airports. It is about 30 kilometers from downtown Shanghai and about 52 kilometers from Hongqiao Airport. Along with Beijing Capital International Airport and Hong Kong International Airport, it is known as one of China's three major international airports. In 2014, its passenger throughput reached 51,661,800.
